Board of Trustees

Trustees are volunteers, appointed by the Douglas County Commissioners. The board adopts and oversees the budget, bylaws and policy; conducts long range planning; and hires and evaluates the library director. Board meetings are held on the last Wednesday of every month at 7pm, at various library locations around the county. Specific meeting dates, and locations can be found here.

This is a great opportunity for anyone with a passion for DCL's mission and vision, and a genuine desire to serve the community. People with backgrounds in communications, technology, finance, law, or strategic business planning are especially encouraged to apply.
