Philip S. Miller Book Clubs
Douglas County Libraries currently sponsors Great Books Discussion Groups at four libraries.
More than fifty years ago, the Great Books Movement started at the University of Chicago with the idea that ordinary people could meet and discuss the enduring ideas and issues found in classic writings. The Great Books Foundation promotes reading and conversation about great literature through discussion groups.
We normally meet the first Monday of the month, unless holidays dictate otherwise. All meetings run from 7 pm to 8:30 pm and will normally be held in the new Central Meeting Room of the PSM Library.
Meets the second Tuesday of every month at 4:30 p.m. Kids in first through third grades read and discuss a book and make a theme-related craft. Snacks provided. Sign up at the Children's Desk to get a copy of the book.
