Thursday, October 23, 2008, 7 pm - Eli Gottlieb

Award-winning author, Eli Gottlieb, headlines the Colorado Author Series at Highlands Ranch Library. He’ll be discussing his acclaimed second novel, Now You See Him. A book-signing will follow. Bestselling author of Bel Canto, Ann Patchett, says “Now You See Him is a true literary page-turner in which a string of startling revelations unfolds within the constructs of lush and beautiful prose. It is at turns both heartbreaking and breathtaking.”

A former Senior Editor of Elle Magazine, and a widely published book critic and journalist, Eli Gottlieb was also a University Lecturer in American Literature in Padova, Italy. His first novel, The Boy Who Went Away, won The Rome Prize of the American Academy of Arts and Letters, the Mckitterick Prize of the British Society of Authors, and was a New York Times Notable Book of the Year. A longtime resident of Italy, he currently lives in Boulder, Colorado.

Thursday, September 11, 2008, 7 pm - Laura Pritchett

Laura Pritchett is a Colorado native and award-winning author of the short story collection Hell's Bottom, Colorado, and the Willa Cather Award Winning novel, Sky Bridge. She is also the editor of two non-fiction collections: The Pulse of the River: Colorado Writers Speak For the Endangered Cache la Poudre and Home Land: Ranching and a West that Works. Her third collection The Gleaners: Eco Essays on Recycling, Re-Use, and Living Lightly on the Land is due out Spring 2009.

Thursday, June 19, 2008, 7 pm - Kristen Heitzmann

Kristen Heitzmann is a graduate of the University of Colorado and a home-schooling mother of four. She is the author of several historical Christian fiction novels, including The Rocky Mountain Legend Series. She will be discussing her newest book and answering questions. Her books will be available at the event.
