Discover Local Artists

Call to Artist Douglas County Libraries supports local art and artists by donating display space to a different artist each month.

Artists wishing to show their work at Douglas County Libraries may submit requests to the staff members listed below. Artists must be 18 years of age or older; artists under the age of 18 may submit their works through their school’s art program.

Artists must submit 5-10 images of their works in one of the following ways: digital photos or a link to an artist’s website via email, or prints or a CD mailed to the desired branch location. Art guilds and societies may submit a single group application.Submissions must include the artist’s name, address, phone, email address, web address (if applicable), number of pieces and description of media. Staff at each branch will select artists based on schedule availability, local appeal, aesthetics, craftsmanship, presentation, size(s) and available display space. Selected artists will be required to sign a contract detailing show requirements, artist’s responsibilities, methods of display, liability waiver, etc.
