Currently located just south of Park Meadows, a popular Douglas County shopping area, Douglas County Libraries in Lone Tree provides a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle, with its bookstore-like feel and full scope of library materials and services. A comfortable meeting room is used for 12 weekly Storytimes, and is available for reservation by the public during other times.
The new Lone Tree library’s grand opening is Saturday, July 9. Patrons will enjoy a more spacious library — about 25,000 square feet — with increased parking and a drive-through book drop, plus dedicated spaces for kids’ programs, meetings and events, study sessions, and informal gatherings.
Many items in the Lone Tree collection circulate only to patrons who visit the library in Lone Tree (they don’t fill holds for patrons at other library locations). See Fines, Fees & Borrowing for more information.EVENTS at Lone Tree
Lone Tree hosts multiple adult book clubs each month, boasts an active Teen Library Council, and offers regular Storytimes, Art Stop on the Go events, and educational programs for kids.
