P.S. Miller Library in Castle Rock
Thursday September 17
6 P.M.: Browse the collection, enjoy refreshments.
7 p.m.: Artist Talk
"Artists are informed and influenced by the works of both their predecessors and their contemporaries. We seek to find a resolution of a visual problem. There are many choices in that resolution and often artists will paint an object many times over, just to understand it. My paintings are all part of that process. Sometimes I get very close to just what I want… “scribbly hands” and all."
Kris paints and teaches in her studio in Parker, Colorado. Her award-winning paintings are included in private and corporate collections across the country.
Visit Kris’s website at Krisiltis.com.
A NEW place to notice when one is visiting PSM Library is the large, red wall just to the right of the Children's Area.
From time to time, we will be displaying larger formatted artworks by local artists. We present for your enjoyment:
Featured Artist on the Red Wall
From Now through October 2nd, view the unique medium of stained glass mosaic wall panels as executed by Candace Forgea (Randall). "Impressionism without a Brush" is only a small portion of this talented artist's work; more may be viewed at her website: www.candaceart.com.
Please contact artists directly with any art-related questions.
