Located in the heart of the Roxborough community, Douglas County Libraries in Roxborough provides a full range of services in a light-filled space overlooking Colorado’s Front Range. Cheery surroundings encompass the latest popular materials, free Wi-Fi access, quiet reading spaces, and friendly, professional staff.
Many items in the Roxborough collection circulate only to patrons who visit the library in Roxborough (they don’t fill holds for patrons at other library locations). See Fines, Fees & Borrowing for more information.
EVENTS at Roxborough
Trained staff provide four weekly Storytimes for kids of all ages, including one evening and one weekend. Other offerings at Roxborough include book clubs for adults, Bark for Books (kids reading to trained canine volunteers), and occasional cooking, gardening and author programs.
Erica Michaels Hollander
Erica Michaels Hollander is a retired lawyer, speech communications professor, and psychodramatist. Her practice of painting dates back to the 2003 blizzard, when the huge amounts of snow kept her confined to the house for so long she found paints she had not touched since she was a child.
Since then, painting and other arts have played a large role in her life. In fact, some of the same forces that motivated her to work for social justice as a lawyer now figure into her paintings relating to the immigrant crisis in Europe and the Middle East.
Her exhibit runs throughout the month of July.
