Patricia Jenkins, Artist
Born and raised in Buffalo, New York, Patricia Jenkins attended the State University College in Buffalo receiving her B.S. and M.S. in Art Education. She taught art and gifted education in the public schools for twenty years.
Falling ill with whooping cough during her childhood, Patricia’s only outlet was drawing. Confined to her room, she became very good at her craft by the end of that year. The artistic abilities she developed as a result of this unplanned opportunity to explore were a major influence for the rest of her life.
Jenkins often works with pastels, drawing and painting. Her favorite media is bronze sculpture.
Currently, Jenkins keeps busy with her successful faux finishing and mural business called Fauxto Finish, Inc.
Patricia and her husband Jeff have resided in the Roxborough area for the past 14 years.
Jenkins' watercolor and acrylic paintings and colored pencil drawings will be on display throughout the month of February.
