Boards and commissions in Douglas County take on one of two different forms: Government boards and citizen advisory boards.

Government boards include the Board of County Commissioners, composed of elected officials, and the Planning Commission, comprised of nominated members.

Citizen advisory boards rely on residents to provide their experience and expertise. The responsibilities, terms, membership size, appointment and meeting schedules vary for each board and commission.

To apply for one of the advisory boards, please fill out the Application for Appointment for Citizen Advisory Boards found on the Douglas County Colorado website.

If you have questions about a particular board or commission, please contact the respective office via their website or call the Commissioners' Office at 303-660-7401.
