Arapahoe/Douglas Works! Satellite Office now in Philip S. Miller Library in Castle Rock

Arapahoe/Douglas Works! in Philip S. Miller LibraryThe Arapahoe/Douglas Works! Workforce Center has moved its satellite office in Castle Rock from the Douglas County Human Services building to the Philip S. Miller Library. The new location in downtown Castle Rock offers increased visibility and more space for the workforce center to provide no-cost employment assistance to job-seekers and businesses. It is the first time in history that an Arapahoe/Douglas Works!

Come in. Compute.

Castle Pines Library has added three public computers and public printing.

All computers offer Internet access and Microsoft Office 2010, plus black and white printing ($.10 per page). Other features include touch screen, camera, Adobe Digital Editions, Overdrive Media Console (download audiobooks and ebooks!), Picasa 3, Google Earth, Windows Media Player, and iTunes. Computers have USB ports for flash/thumb drives, and CD/DVD read-writeable drives. Headphones are available.

Join Douglas County Libraries as we welcome Micheal Thomas, New York Times bestselling author of  "We Are Not Ourselves" a powerfully moving debut about an Irish-American family. The result is a riveting read which reminds us time and love are precious and fleeting. 

Matthew Thomas was born and raised in NYC. He has a BA from the University of Chicago, an MA from the Writing Seminars at Johns Hopkins University, and an MFA from the University of California, Irvine.

Book signing will follow presentation. Books will be sold at the event.
