Arapahoe/Douglas Works! Satellite Office now in Philip S. Miller Library in Castle Rock

Arapahoe/Douglas Works! in Philip S. Miller LibraryThe Arapahoe/Douglas Works! Workforce Center has moved its satellite office in Castle Rock from the Douglas County Human Services building to the Philip S. Miller Library. The new location in downtown Castle Rock offers increased visibility and more space for the workforce center to provide no-cost employment assistance to job-seekers and businesses. It is the first time in history that an Arapahoe/Douglas Works!

Castle Pines Library has added three public computers and public printing.

All computers offer Internet access and Microsoft Office 2010, plus black and white printing ($.10 per page). Other features include touch screen, camera, Adobe Digital Editions, Overdrive Media Console (download audiobooks and ebooks!), Picasa 3, Google Earth, Windows Media Player, and iTunes. Computers have USB ports for flash/thumb drives, and CD/DVD read-writeable drives. Headphones are available.

Enjoy light refreshments as you listen to ten local authors talk about their books. The authors will briefly discuss their work and a book sale and signing will follow. Registration is required.
