Arapahoe/Douglas Works! Satellite Office now in Philip S. Miller Library in Castle Rock

Arapahoe/Douglas Works! in Philip S. Miller LibraryThe Arapahoe/Douglas Works! Workforce Center has moved its satellite office in Castle Rock from the Douglas County Human Services building to the Philip S. Miller Library. The new location in downtown Castle Rock offers increased visibility and more space for the workforce center to provide no-cost employment assistance to job-seekers and businesses. It is the first time in history that an Arapahoe/Douglas Works!

Castle Pines Library has added three public computers and public printing.

All computers offer Internet access and Microsoft Office 2010, plus black and white printing ($.10 per page). Other features include touch screen, camera, Adobe Digital Editions, Overdrive Media Console (download audiobooks and ebooks!), Picasa 3, Google Earth, Windows Media Player, and iTunes. Computers have USB ports for flash/thumb drives, and CD/DVD read-writeable drives. Headphones are available.

Join us Saturday, July 25th and celebrate the dog days of summer with Spencer Quinn, the author of seven bestselling Chet and Bernie mysteries.

Join Douglas County Libraries the evening of Friday, July 17th as we welcome Shelley Walchak author of 52 Rivers - A Woman's Fly Fishing Journey.

Shelley's passions are fly fishing and libraries! In 2013 she fly-fished a river a week, blogged and wrote essays about her adventures hoping to help give courage and inspiration to those in pursuit of their own path to a more passionate life. Her blog is now this book.
