Bark for Books

Reading to dogs helps kids read and communicate better.

Through Bark for Books, we offer young readers, ages 6-12, a unique opportunity to improve their literacy skills and self-esteem reading to trained Reading Education Assistance Dogs in 20-minute sessions.

Practice Your English

Every Saturday, except holiday weekends, Douglas County Libraries hosts casual drop-in sessions for anyone age 17 and older to practice English. All levels and abilities are welcome. Come practice conversational skills with other English learners. Volunteer facilitators, who are fluent in English, lead the conversation and answer questions. Two libraries host Practice Your English on Saturdays:
