Prepare for the U.S. Citizenship interview with these classes

Registration is now open for U.S. Citizenship classes on March 8, 15, and 22 at the Lone Tree Branch of Douglas County Libraries. Each session will meet from 9:30-11:30 am. Participants are expected to register for and attend all three Saturday sessions. Registration is free.

Cynthia Close will lead the sessions and has been teaching English as a Second Language in Douglas County School District for ten years. She has been teaching U.S. Citizenship classes for Douglas County Libraries for over three years.

Participants will learn what is necessary to become a U.S. Citizen and complete necessary application paperwork. They will learn what to study of U.S. history, government, and other information in preparation for passing the interview.

Students should have at least high beginning or intermediate level English speaking skills.

The U.S. Citizenship classes will be offered again September 13, 20, and 27.
