Kids + Dogs + Books = Literacy

The Douglas County Libraries Bark for Books program pairs Reading Education Assistance Dogs (R.E.A.D) and their trainers with new or struggling young readers.

R.E.A.D dogs are certified by Intermountain Therapy Animals as reading companions for children.

Bark for Books offers a pawsitive opportunity to boost your child's literacy skills with a dog as his/her audience. One-on-one appointments are available at a Douglas County Libraries location near you.
