E-books put pressure between libraries and publishers
E-books have changed the world of publishing in fundamental ways. The business model that encouraged publishers to support the work of public libraries has changed to such an extent that this relationship has been stressed to the point of non cooperation. Listen to Douglas County Libraries' former Director Jamie LaRue and Kansas State Librarian Jo Budler discuss these issues with host Lynn Neary on NPR’s Morning Edition.
Artists wishing to show their work in the Douglas County Libraries can submit their requests to the staff members listed below. Artists must be 18 years of age or older; artists under the age of 18 may submit their works through their school’s art program/instructor.
In order to be considered, they are asked to submit images (between 5 and 10) of their works in any one of the following ways: Digital photos by email, on CD mailed to the branch where you want to show your work, prints or via the artist's website link. Art Guilds and societies may submit as a group.
