Bark for Books

Reading to dogs helps kids read and communicate better.

Through Bark for Books, we offer young readers, ages 6-12, a unique opportunity to improve their literacy skills and self-esteem reading to trained Reading Education Assistance Dogs in 20-minute sessions.

Please register by calling 303-791-7323 or visiting with a children’s librarian in a participating location.

The Magic of Spellbinders

Now is your chance to share your amazing stories with young people and become a Spellbinder!

Spellbinders are adults, 50 and up, who stay young at heart by telling stories to children in Douglas County Schools. By sharing traditional stories and personal history tales, Spellbinders make a difference.
